Catching Up with Deep Recovery

If you have been following Deep Recovery, you may have been wondering what's going on. It has been quite a while since we have shared news. We've been busy! Let me catch you up.

Last summer we ran another Leaders Training Course with four clergy involved. We met every other Monday via Zoom and ended in the end of August. As a result, one course was planned to start at January 2025, with three others in the works.

We started our 10th course at the home of Deep Recovery at Trinity Anglican Church in Rochester, NH in mid-September. We rolled out the latest and greatest publication of the workbook, with a new cover design and many other edits made especially for those who are running the course in other locations. We enjoyed a great Chicken Parmesan dinner, cooked by Butch Lewis, a Trinity volunteer and Matt P shared his testimony, his plan and what DR meant to him. He hopes to help us bring DR to others in the future. Our graduates also got to select one of our Anglican Prayer Beads, made by the women of Trinity.

September and October were exceptionally busy for Fr. Matt, the author and director of the course. As a full-time pastor, he was stretched to the limit and one of the things that suffered was communication and administration for the course. To remedy the situation Fr. Matt trained his wife, Inger, in the backend of the website so she could take over administration. She is now handling inquiries, order fulfillment and communications.

And that is not all! We have two new courses starting in January. One at Lydia's House for Women in Somersworth, NH and the other will be hosted at St. Timothy's Anglican Catholic Church in West Ashley Charleston, SC. That course will be run by the Rev. Dan Farley. Beyond that we expect one or two more course locations to begin in 2025.

Deep Recovery will continue to expand, making the science of faith-based recovery and wellbeing available to more people who need it. Please keep us in your prayers and consider supporting our expansion.

Yours,

Fr. Matt Mirabile
